Broadband – Internet at Its Best

Can you think of those times in which the internet was not even discovered? Later, when the internet actually came into use, the mankind was fascinated by it. But, it took a lot of time for the internet to reach a layman. For it to gain publicity and for people to know how to use it, it took even more time. Dial-up connections were first made available to the public. But, it cost much high that not all could afford it.

Later, broadband was introduced and dial-up connections became cheaper. Broadband was not the cup of tea for common man. It was very costly that only business organizations or companies could afford it. But thanks to technology, broadband became more affordable. Nowadays broadband has become more common and affordable than dial-up connections.

Broadband is much faster than dial-up connections. It is mainly because broadband has higher bandwidth. In broadband connection the connection happens through a separate fibre optic cable. The biggest advantage of a broadband connection apart from its high speed is that the telephone through which it is connected does not go engaged even when the connection is being used.

The speed is double of what we get for dial-up modems.

Broadband is best for video streaming. Unlike in dial-up connections where we have to wait for hours and hours for a video to buffer, in broadband, it merely takes seconds or maybe minutes for the whole video to buffer. Sending of files also takes less time. Videos, mp3 files, pdf files, doc files and all other sorts takes much lesser time than what is required in a dial-up connection.

Now, the age of broadband is also slowly coming to a decline with the advent of mobile broadband, a connection which can be taken with you wherever you go.

One Tree Hill season 1-6 DVD boxset Best Wholesale Price

One Tree Hill is an American teen, young adult television drama created by Mark Schwahn, which premiered on September 23, 2003 on The WB Television Network. After its third season, The WB merged with UPN to form The CW Television Network, and since September 27, 2006 the network is the official broadcaster for the show in the USA. The show is set in fictional town Tree Hill in North Carolina and originally follows the lives of two half-brothers, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty). Their relationship evolves from heartless enemies to caring brothers, and the basketball drama, as well as the brothers’ on-again/off-again romances with female characters, are significant elements within the series. The first four seasons of the show focus on the characters’ high school years. With the beginning of the fifth season, Schwahn decided to skip the timeline four years ahead, showing their lives after college. In the seventh season, he adjusted the timeline one year into the future after the sixth season. The opening credits were originally intertwined with the song “I Don’t Want to Be” by Gavin DeGraw playing in the background. The theme was removed from the opening in the fifth season, due to production costs and Schwahn feeling that it was more so representative of the main five’s adolescent lives. The credits then only consisted of the title written on a black background. The theme was restored for Season 8, due to audience demand, and will be sung by different artists each week.
The show has received average ratings, with the second season being the highest rated season, averaging 4.3 million viewers weekly. It has also won Teen Choice Awards. On May 12, 2009, it was confirmed that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton declined to return for the seventh season, although stories on what transpired vary. Their characters (Lucas and Peyton) had been two of the five main protagonists, as well as one of the central love stories, throughout the show.Since the two departed, ratings have steadily declined with some episodes reaching below the two million mark; this ties in with the network’s other shows that also suffered a decline in ratings. The CW officially renewed the show for an eighth season consisting of a minimum 12 episodes on May 18, 2010.Schwahn said this is the last season all the original cast members are contracted for. However, he is hoping the series could go on for more seasons as the network did not announce this as the last season of the show, which they did for Smallville. There were reports that the show had been picked up for a full 22-episode season, but this has since been denied by The CW and Sophia Bush.[13] As of September 2010, the future of the show is still uncertain, and this is affecting the scripts in terms of whether the show needs to be concluded or not. Season eight premiered on The CW on Tuesday, September 14.

The Best Way To Start Your Sheet Music Collection

by 27147

The Best Way To Start Your Sheet Music Collection

Starting a sheet music collection is easy, once you’ve decided what you want to collect. Sheet music is inexpensive and relatively easy to find. You can find music at yard sales, antique shows and on the internet. Only music that is very scarce or rare is expensive. Most pieces can be found at a price between three and twenty five dollars. Extremely rare sheet music can carry a price of up to a thousand dollars, but few pieces fall into this category. You will find music in any color graphic or subject matter you are looking for.

People collect sheet music in many ways. Sometimes sheet music is collected by the genre or songs. You could put together a history of music in America with a sheet music collection. You could do this with the entire history of our country or concentrate on one time period or decade. The possibilities are endless – be creative when building your collection! Songs have been written about most important events in our history, including wars, plane crashes and natural disasters. Themes such as love or the evolution of images of women in music are popular themes for sheet music collections. Other collectors focus on one composer or cover artist.

Ragtime music from the early twentieth century is popular with collectors of vintage sheet music. This music is considered the foundation of modern jazz music. A ragtime music collection looks great displayed in a room decorated in the Early American style. And the cover art on rag time sheet music looks great displayed in picture frames on a wall or sofa table.

Music written by famous composers is popular among sheet music collectors. This music is readily available in all music genres. Other collectors focus on rare or vintage sheet music. The value of these documents depends largely on the condition of the sheets. Pieces in mint condition will be more expensive. Most sheet music isn’t found in perfect condition. The spine of the sheet was usually broken to make the score stand up in the music stand. Spills, tears and names written on the covers are common because sheet music was often used at parties.

Sheet music displayed in a family room or bar area makes a great focal point. Even people who don’t collect sheet music use it in a display of other collectibles. Collectors of beer, whisky, golf, military, cigars or trains can find sheet music to accent their collection. A few pieces of sheet music with great cover art enhance a display of other collectibles. Collectors of memorabilia from movies or Broadway productions often look for sheet music written for the production.

Any sheet music that isn’t displayed should be stored properly to preserve the condition. Store each set of sheet music in a plastic baggie like those used for comic book collections. Place those bags in a large plastic storage container to protect them from being ripped or crumpled. Store your containers in a dry place away from sunlight or moisture, which can damage the music.

Best Dallas Suburb for 1 bedroom apartment near arlington?

Question by Donald B: Best Dallas Suburb for 1 bedroom apartment near arlington?
Im moving to Dallas soon for a job in Arlington, and I was hoping to get some information on what the better areas of Dallas are to find apartments. Unfortunately its just me and stilll a bit outside my price range to get a house. I know that the north side of dallas is suppose to be nicer, but I’ll be working in the Arlington area and dont necessarily want a long commute. Any advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Well.. Arlington is not my favorite part.. I just don’t care for Euless and those places. I would pick Grapevine or Southlake. Southlake is fairly well-to-do though so apartments would be rather expensive. Grapevine has the AMC theater and a huge huge outlet mall and also a fairly established downtown.

I wouldn’t go near Irving or Carrollton. There’s nothing great around there and rather crowded imo. Richardson has a lot of restaurants… I suppose that may be a plus.

Highland Park is really really really rich and University Park is near SMU college.
This area is awesome. It’s so walkable which is rare for Dallas.

Of course I can’t afford to live in these areas:)
If you want a town with two colleges and great live music (like Austin used to have) come to Denton! I used to rent a box of an apartment all bills paid for 390 though. Not too bad eh?

Q&A: Who is the BEST player on the 06′ Texas Longhorns football team?

Question by imapacesetter14: Who is the BEST player on the 06′ Texas Longhorns football team?

Best answer:

Answer by will w
Vince Young in the 05-06 season. He’s the only reason why they survived. 06-07 is Colt McCoy. Freshman under pressure came in the Post-Young era and did not disappoint. Exept for NFL scouts when he didn’t declare for the draft.
