Ideas For How to Live a Happy Life

People’s perceptions on how to live a happy life vary greatly. Many think that the accumulation of lots of wealth, the fanciest car and luxurious mansion is the pinnacle of achievement, and that being surrounded in that environment automatically equates to happiness.

Often the need to fill your life with expensive material things, comes because there is a hole in your happiness which you don’t know how to fill. It is often easier to chase material things than to look and scrutinize what really is happening in your life.

Fulfilment and knowing how to live a happy life can be achieved through small steps which bring a sense of completion to your life. Being appreciative and grateful for all that you have, no matter how humble, is a powerful and rewarding exercise. Start each day with reminding yourself exactly what is in your life that moment and what you are grateful for, will bring a immense joy. This can be anything, from feeling grateful the sun streaming through your window, grateful that your feet are strong enough to stand on, or feeling grateful for the clean water to brush your teeth.

Optimism can help show you how to live a happy life. There is power in words, and using positive affirmations always in order to strengthen yourself, as well as using positive phrases in conversation can make a big difference. For example, you don’t ‘hate’ something, you ‘love’ something else instead. Focus on the positive.

Be accepting of who you are, and that will help you see and understand exactly what makes you happy. Like yourself and others will like you too, because you will carry that positive energy with you wherever you go.

Change diet and start losing focus on any bad health. Chemical balances can lead to a downturn in moods, and naturally a healthier internal system and body will push you towards happiness. When you don’t have to worry about health issues, then your mind as well as your overall well-being is at ease.

Organise you life. Assess your goals and dreams and start focusing on them more and more, even if it just thinking about them more often. Try and find ways to achieve these things, but most importantly, do it in a way that you enjoy. Ask yourself if the end result is worth it, if you can’t enjoy the ride to get there?

Accept where you are at in your life and that things may not be perfect. It will be better than facing constant struggles and dreading waking up the next morning.

Seven Rituals For Living a Fulfilling Life

The quality of our lives, to a large extent, depends upon how to choose to live it. Sure, there will always be challenges, but that’s just the nature of life. Our overall well being can be shaped by a few simple principles. We can live haphazardly and or we can create an environment that is more conducive to peace and contentment. Listed below are seven rituals you can adopt that will lead to a happier and more fulfilling life.

1. Gather with family. The family unit is the nucleus, the hub, in most of our lives. Family is where we can let our guards down and be ourselves. Family is where we can go to share stories, be encouraged and not be judged. Yet, it’s so easy to get caught up in the daily rigors of life and become scattered. It would be great if we could all return to the days of gathering at Mama’s house for Sunday dinner, but for many of you that’s just not feasible. But, if you happen to live in another city or state and can only make it home on holidays, then adopt a family to huddle with on a regular basis. If you’re married (or single) with children at home, make it a practice to eat a meal together each day.

2. Do something you enjoy. Most people really only need an hour or two a day to do something that they really enjoy doing, whether it is reading, watching a ball game, taking a walk, gardening, or just sitting or lying still, thinking about whatever comes to mind. This is one of the most important things you can do to help yourself achieve balance.

3. Guard your private time. Trying to juggle all of the demands for your time and attention can be overwhelming. YOU should be at the very top of your list of priorities. When YOU are right everything else will fall into place. If getting time alone is something you would like to make a priority, but you don’t have time, then something definitely needs to give. Don’t allow work and other distractions to intrude on your personal time. Do a little less so that you can spend more time with yourself. Just as you schedule your doctor’s appointments and your parent-teacher conferences, you should put private time on your “to-do” list and stick to it. Carve out time in your day to contribute to yourself. Spend a day at the spa, hang out with your friends, take a long luxuriant bath, or whatever suits your fancy!

4. Take care of your body. Regular exercise and healthy eating habits should not be taken for granted. They should be incorporated into your daily life. Come up with a regimen that fits into your schedule. Just walking 30 minutes per day, taking the stairs rather than the elevator or parking farther away from the building are minimal activities than can reap benefits. Whatever you decide to do, apply discipline and consistency.

5. Be a giver. Showing compassion for others keeps you humble and demonstrates where your priorities lie. There is no greater feeling than knowing that you are helping to meet the needs and making a positive impact in the lives of others. Giving is just as much a blessing to you as it is to the recipient.

6. Keep your finances in order. When your finances are out of order it can affect others areas of your life, particularly your relationships. There is peace and harmony in your household when the finances are in order. Financial weight will make it difficult to focus on our other responsibilities and keep you from pursuing your dreams.

7. Stay connected to God. Attend church on a regular basis. Make it a daily practice to spend time in the presence of God. Set aside at least 15 minutes each morning getting centered before rushing off to work. Prayer and Scriptures will help to keep you grounded in the midst of challenges and chaos encountered during the day. Whisper silent prayers throughout the day and end your day with prayer and inspiration.

Practicing these tenets on a regular basis will help to ensure that your life remains balanced. A balanced life is a “healthy” life. If you desire to live a happier and more fulfilling life, start incorporating these seven rituals today.

How to Overcome Depression and Start Living the Life You Want to Live Now

For four decades I rolled around threw pity parties one after another and just lived in a low level depression – Through choices made life just became worse as time marched on and when thinking this has got to be the lowest level of life – it just became deeper and thoughts of suicide crept in and overtook my mind, body and soul. I didn’t even know that you could live a life cloaked in absolute depression and that’s what it was complete and utter clinical depression.

What do you do to over come depression? You quickly and drastically change your life – You literally rip of that mental handicapped Band-Aid and change yourself immediately and with no looking back. First things first – start some daily activity the completely engulfs your mind and body. Something that will not give you time to think about anything else but what is in front of you at that moment.. Things like learning to ride a motocross bike, rock or mountain climbing, kick boxing, or karate. I chose motocross because it requires the most physical abilities that you can muster and you have to be laser focused at all times to stay up right cross the finish line. Not to mention the flat out thrill you get from making thirty to fifty foot jumps and catch some air to boot.

Change your eating habits to one that will fuel your new activities properly. Eating lots of carbs and sugars and caffeine will only keep you in a cycle of being a loser. Drink tons of water and take plenty of vitamin supplements. Eat more seafood, raw veggies like broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, onions, etc.

Get out of yourself and help others – Join organizations like Habitat for Humanity, get involved with your neighborhood charities and church. Helping others helps you by seeing that you really do not have it that bad at all.

To recap: Plenty of Activities, Healthy Diet, Help Others and you have to make these three things a habit – “Thirty days makes a Habit” they say. In the past we have made a habit of doing and thinking negative things and this had become our life – You can chose what your habits are in life. Getting rid of depression starts by ridding your lifestyle of unneeded mental and physical handicaps we have imposed on ourselves.

Another must do is get professional help – Shop around for a therapist – not all are a good match – and believe it or not some therapist live in depression and do not even know themselves. So find a positive up beat person that you can see weekly or even daily if need be at first. Get everything out on the table with them – no secrets – cleanse your mental inventory and let them help you rebuild and reclaim a good healthy happy life without depression.

The above sounds good and in a perfect world we could just do it and there would be no problems – but our body and mind reject change a lot of times and this is where the fight for a good life comes in and must be paid close attention to. When it’s time to exercise, eat, work, or interact with family and we “don’t feel like it” – that’s the little guy or gal inside of you that holds you back and wants to keep you in your funk or depression. You literally have overcome all obstacles and get out of your comfort zone to accomplish this mental health miracle.

Changing your career may be a part of you healing yourself. For years I worked in a office and gained weight until I was almost 500 pounds of depressing blubber who only thought about the next break to get more food. Changing to a job that required lots of physical activity and being outside for eight to twelve hours a day was a huge key in getting rid of depression for myself. I slept better at night from being physically exhausted from a hard days work.

Sadly my spouse had to go as well – she was in the same boat I was in but did not want to overcome her depression. For several years I tried helping her to become a mentally healthy person – but her misery was her best friend and she did want to let go – Even though leading by example and showing her how my life had turned around, she only wanted the comfort of her helplessness and shroud of misery that was kept alive inside of her. Her eating habits also had her teetering at the four hundred pound mark and her heart problems and diabetes were caused by this unhealthy lifestyle.

Folks it not easy for everyone on this rock we live on – But it can be better by the simple choices we make. A woman that works for the same company as myself is one of the most positive and happy people that I have had the opportunity to meet in my life. Quite honestly we all thought she was on all kinds of medications to make herself this way. But getting to know her by talking on our lunch break, it turns out that she long ago decided to be happy no matter what life threw her way and it became a habit. Her mother suffered from severe depression and she decide that she was not going to live the life her mom had chosen.

Yes there are things that happened to us in childhood that deeply scar and crush our want to live or even survive. Some of us hang on these memories like a badge of honor as so to explain away why we are the way we are and live. “Stinking Thinking” is a habit of depression that helps us perpetuate the downward spiraling lifestyle.

Changing one’s life is a fight or flee type of feeling you get – In the past I would flee when change came upon my doorstep. Now, it gets a mental black eye and is not allowed to loiter in my mind. Constant change for the better can be made a great habit in it’s self to help you overcome depression and it will if you so chose to let that be your truth today.

College Life Is Now Online Live

College life is a lot of fun, but unlike high school, you need to be more serious with schoolwork to make it through with flying colors. But with a lot of pressure, from part time jobs and other concerns apart from the numerous essays and theses you need to complete, it can be really challenging.

For a lot of reasons, college students like me need some help in some subjects and common issues pertaining college life. And I am so glad to have come across this very helpful website After becoming a member of this online community exclusive for college students, connecting with classmates has become a whole easier even in the comfort of home. I even get to befriend the members of the elite circle of students which would not normally happen in the campus, considering their status and fame.

Another good feature that made me take the website by heart is the fact that it offers more benefits other than connecting with friends. You can join discussions and forums about home works and exams, something that you cannot do with the other ordinary social networking sites. At the same time, you get fresh updates from friends and schoolmates about the latest news and events in the university where you are attending. And when you are looking for books and other materials that you need in some of your subjects, this is the perfect place to look for the best deals and affordable prices.

If you have photos or videos to share, you can also upload them anytime to the site. Being a member has given me access to new content uploaded daily by fellow members. Not only do I get to connect with students in my own campus but with other universities as well. It is also a good source of inside information about parties, night life, sororities, fraternities and all the other highlights of college life.

All these privileges are for free. Thats another fact that makes this website truly attractive for college students. I highly recommend

Outsource Your Life And Live The Smart Way

In an economy that we have, not to mention high prices of commodity but low salary, we tend to work hard in an aim of having a good life and a nice way of living for our family. Some of us get not only one job but two or three to be able to have the money that we need. Working ten to twelve hours a day, sometimes even up to fifteen. I myself am working ten hours or more in the office, and then selling beauty products during break, not to mention household chores when I get home. It was satisfactory since it meets the financial need of the family. But honestly, there are times that I feel exhausted.
As a full time pre-school teacher, it is not easy to get extra work or sideline.

I still have lesson plans to do, plus the materials that I will need in the execution of the lesson, like visual aids, questionnaire among others. Later on, I discovered that there is better than hard work. Earning enough or more than enough dollars but not necessarily draining every single energy that is in my body. Not only it is the trend but it is the smart way of getting things done in a clever way. I have learned the value of outsourcing. Doing all the visual aids took hours of my time since I don”t draw fast and good, so I asked a neighbor who can draw better than I am and pay him some dollars. Of course there is outsourcing disadvantages like sometimes, the picture that I want to see is not exactly what he did, but these things are manageable and the good thing about it is that the time that I was able to save was used in writing an article for a magazine who pays me quadruple than I squeezed from my pocket for his drawings. Another move I did was to hire a household helper that would do all the chores while I am writing more articles. Two weeks after I did this, I noticed that I am earning more but is working less.

Others thought that we can only use outsourcing in the business. What we don”t know is that we can incorporate outsourcing in everything that we do, and it will not only save us from grueling, it will bring more income and at the same time generate job for others. If in business world you need to know an outsourcing directory, in an ordinary life, we just need to know people whom to outsource our responsibilities. Everything in this world can be outsourced without exacerbating the quality of work; you just need to be wise in choosing the right person for the job. Outsource your life to improve not only for financial reason, but also to free yourself from stress so you can focus on more important matters.

Vendor Evaluation by Nick Krym is a great deal of advice, tips and more powerful sources that will help outsourcing companies and freelancers out there.

Live life to the fullest with a motorhome!

by kengo

There are sometimes when the monotony of life really takes over and stops you in your tracks. It Prevents you from doing literally anything and you feel that life has taken over and there is nothing more to life than work and home and taxes and bills and computers and mobiles and rising costs and so on and so forth, but that is not exactly it. Life is beautiful. It is just the monotony of the routine we follow that takes over and prevents us from doing a lot of things we normally would.

The best thing to do when feelings like these take over is to simply take a break from routine life and go out to some secluded place for a camp. Ideally hire a motorhome from one of the motorhome rental companies and take that along to some place where you can leave the monotony of life behind and live for yourself within the laps of Mother Nature. It is must suggestive those before you leave, first and foremost, check all the documents of the hired motor home and preferably take it from an established and experienced motorhome rentals company. This way you can be assured that there will be no problems along the way or once you reach your destination.

One of the next steps, following the motorhome hire from the motorhome rentals company is to decide if you are going alone or with friends or with family. It is more preferable that you go with someone very close to your heart and someone who can stand rough life for a few days. Also take along your dog if you have one and because you will be living in a motor home there will be no problems of where the dog will stay. Dogs somehow relate to that part of a human’s mind that cannot be accessed by anyone and that’s why they are also called man’s best friend.

Infact many a motorhome rentals companies have motorhomes on hire that are fitted with a special section to keep pets. This way if you suddenly decide to go fishing or to go mountain climbing, you can leave your pet inside the ‘pet home’ and go with a free mind and rest assured nothing will happen to your precious pet. Also remember that when you take a motorhome on hire to go out and relax, remember to check it when it arrives. If there are any problems ensure that you point them out to the motorhome rentals company. This can help in avoiding a lot of unpleasantness later.

Last but not the least, enjoy your stay away from the daily life and live every moment of it to the fullest.

How to Live a Successful and Fulfilled Life

There are a few people in this world of ours who lead successful and fulfilled lives. Perhaps not a few, but many.

What’s their secret? How do they manage to live the life we all want? In fact, do we believe it is possible for people to live a fulfilling life? One step further, do we believe we can live that same fulfilling life? A life that is fulfilling in our relationships, in our careers, our health, wealth and health?

Sure we can once we know the ‘secret’.

What’s the secret?

To become successful and fulfilled in many, if not all, areas in your life you have to let go of all your limiting beliefs and create and instill enhancing beliefs.

That’s the secret!

We understand that our beliefs came about, whether we are aware of them or not, from our parents, friends, teachers, media, culture or traditions, and from many other ways. For example, one particular thought that was repeated to me over and over when I was a child growing up, that finally became a limiting belief, was, “Money doesn’t grow on trees.”

Now as an adult, that belief is as strong now as it was then.

If you have that belief you will find it hard to make a lot of money. That belief alone has the power to hold you back from making a large amount of money. Could you imagine how many other constricting beliefs you have ‘against’ money?

For you to get ahead in life it is imperative that these limiting beliefs are identified and eliminated.

Here’s a simple but powerful way of eliminating limiting beliefs, once you have identified them.

Firstly, think of a belief as a way you interpreted something or were told for you to interpret something. This already can weaken the belief. Next, go to a mirror, get close to it, and look right into your eyes; deep and with strong convincing intention.

Present this argument, or something like it: “Oh, yeah. Money doesn’t grow on trees. Who says? Money is made from trees, and there’s a heck of a lot of trees in this world making a heck of a lot of money. And since money does grow on trees I claim to have many of those trees to give me a huge amount of money…”

Go wild and have fun. Convince yourself that money does grow on trees.

Use this over and over until you well and truly convince yourself; then move on to another belief. Make this a life-long fun process and you will reap the benefits.

You choose: would you rather stay stuck where you are and let those sabotaging, limiting beliefs run your life, limiting your success and fulfilment, or would you rather eradicate those limiting beliefs so they won’t control you so you may become successful and live a fulfilling life?

Your choice.

Techniques to Live an Improved Life

Attitude makes a lot of difference, do you think so? That’s where everything begins from. Without a healthy and fine attitude, we head towards failure before we even begin. It makes a huge difference in whatever we do. The perfect attitude helps a salesman to achieve his monthly target; a student can score A’s on his or her exams; and an employee can efficiently deal with the official work. In every situation, it is possible to win with the right attitude. There are some basic techniques to improve your attitude.

Rather than thinking about failure think more about success. We are our own worst critic and it’s not at all difficult to be hard on yourself as you wish give your best performance all the time. If you think hard enough, you will be able to find at least five things at this moment to prove that you are doing better than before. It may be jogging an extra mile, scoring better grades in a tough exam, or navigating your way better through the software of your job. When you think about how you are performing, it helps you to gain that confidence in yourself which finally improves your attitude.

Read books that inspires and motivates you and listen to such CDs. This will feed your spirit and mind and with positive attitude. I always buy empowering CDs and also subscribe to a monthly book/magazine that highlights the best speakers in my networking business. Remember, readers are leaders and leaders are readers!

Express Enthusiasm

Everyone likes to associate with a person who carries positive attitude. A positive and enthusiastic greeting gives people a sense of belonging in this world. When you are asked, “How are you?” then just answer with “Great!” When you express yourself this way, it puts you in the right frame of mind.

Lighter Side

Life gets serious sometimes but the only the positive people in life can see the lighter side of it. They tend to fall and slip while walking but act as if they are dancing. Use humor in your life that helps to see that it’s just a passing cloud. Humor, jokes, funny anecdotes not only reduces the stress but fills you with more positive energy and this improves your attitude. So always see the lighter side to improve your attitude.

Regular Exercise

People who exercise daily reflect a positive frame of mind. You are not required build six-pack abs or lift heavy weights to get the benefits of exercise. Regular exercise gives you positive feedback in the weight management, release of endorphins, and a sense of doing that’s uplifting and positive. Try out a 30-60 minute exercise session. You will really feel great!

These are some basic techniques to build a positive attitude. There are many techniques like these. Just begin with these techniques and on your way you will find yourself more of them to improve your mind frame and life.

Live the Life You Really Want

When you want to change something in your life it is a very common experience to say that you couldn’t do what you want to do because you would up set someone or that person might be offended or another might think badly of you. The result of all this thinking on your part is that you don’t ever get around to doing the thing you really would like to be doing.

But sometimes we all forget that another person may see the world in a different way to us. The expression about getting into someone else’s shoes is not necessarily to be taken literally although there was a well known actress who found that in order to get into character she had to first get the shoes of the character onto her feet.

However, what the phrase usually means is that you must imagine seeing the world through that other person’s eyes and with their experience of life. You can get a sense of this by standing in a different place and saying to yourself ‘I’m seeing the world through so and so’s eyes now.’ Counsellors use this technique by getting their client to sit in a chair which represents a person and see the world through the eyes of him or her. It’s useful to do this when you have a disagreement with someone and don’t understand why that person won’t understand your point of view.

You may find by stepping into their shoes you can understand their objections. When you understand this you can proceed to reach an agreement with them because when you demonstrate to them that you really understand where they are coming from then they will be more open to understanding your point of view too.

In the end you must consider whether the most important thing in your life is pleasing other people or doing whatever it is that you really want to do. When you get to the end of your life will you say to yourself that at least you tried not to upset anyone. Or will you be able to say that maybe you upset a person or two along the way but at least you did all those things you really wanted to do! It’s your choice whether you live for yourself or entirely for other people. Of course ideally it is great if you can find the balance between fulfilling your won needs and not upsetting too many along the way either.
