Question by shiz_gizn_gar: What is the punishment for speeding in texas at the age of 16?
I got a citation for speeding, and i heard that i might get my license revoked. Im kinda scared, because i rely on my license to get me and my younger brother and sister to school. It was only me in the car when i got the ticket, i live in texas, and i was going 60 in a 45. PLZZ HELP!

The penalty lies more in what the offense is, in your case speeding (15 mph over the limit) than in the age of the driver. If, however, Texas does not issue a “full license” to those under 18, (I don’t remember — I was first licensed in TX, but that was years ago.) then you need to watch yourself when driving.

Question by Gary L: what punishment should i give my daughter?
I just found out today that my teenage daughter has a Myspace. I’ve told her on numerous occasions that she isn’t old enough or matcher enough to have one. Well today she used my phone she says “to check something online” Her phone doesn’t have online services, so I let her. She must have forgot to log out because when I got on it was her yahoo account stating she had a new comment on myspace. So when I got home I put in her yahoo address and the password she uses for everything and logged into “HER” myspace page. Now the picture posted isn’t her, but I recognize A LOT of her friends, there is even an messages in her inbox that wants to know why she wasn’t in school on Thursday, which she wasn’t because she had a dr’s appt. Anyway, how do I bring it up to her and what kind of punishment should she have. She already lost her phone, TV, radio, and computer privileges due to her skipping school and her grades.
Also, she has no idea that I know she has one yet. She’s 14.

Confront her and take away things she thinks she could not possibly live without and she does not get them back in a week or so. She has to earn them back by getting your trust back.
I bet she has a lot even without a MySpace like everyone else that she considers a luxury item. Snatch them up and lock them up.
Nip it in the bud.

Does anyone know or have any examples as to what the punishment is in Texas for leaving large bruises on arms, waist and thighs after forcefully slapping (7 times), kicking and hitting a 15 year old girl? The offender is her father. He has a clean criminal record and this is the first incident. CPS and County Sheriffs s Dept are involved and child is with mother (ex-wive of abuser) at this time. Waiting for him to be charged….
I should have asked – What could he be charged with? Sorry!
