This Season’s Red Sox Baseball Music To Fan’s Ears

This Season’s Red Sox Baseball Music To Fan’s Ears

Hi guys.. Ace Diamond aka (Gowell Bros.) back again with another exciting Red Sox update. Well, it’s been really an almost unbelievable run for the Bosox here in late June/2010 headed for the All Star break and as they are in “virtual tie” with The Yanks & Rays for for the lead in the A.L.east. Quite incredibly actually, as Sox pitching and HITTNG have carried the day with over five runs per game!!. Not to mention the outfield of Ellsberry, Cameron & Drew being injured a good part of the season & Ace pitcher “Josh Beckett & Dice-K” being on the shelf for nearly a month now with our AAA Pawtucket team steppin’ up to the plate and providing our Red Sox parent team with some very decent replacements in the outfield to keep us going strong!

Well, my last month’s prediction of the Sox taking the lead in the A.L.East by late June or early July is actually coming true!!  They seem to be firing on all cylinders right now. just think if they can ever get their outfield back together again, What they could do?  It’s true Cameron hasn’t hit well to date, but he has a good history of coming through, as he did hit 25 dingers in 2009!

Red Sox Nation has a lot to be proud of! Look where we are now! Who would have “thunk it”?  we would be in a tie for first place approaching mid season with the rash of injuries we’ve had? But the backup troops have held the fort and I look for our Bosox to go all the way to the World Series again and win all marbles. We’ve won two World Series in the last few years.. “Why not 2010?.. A nice little catchy saying would be…. “Let’s do it again in 2010″…Hey! I like it!! go RED SOX!  “C-H-A-R-G-E.”

This writer is excited for the Home team and is proud of the Pawtucket Red Sox(AAA) and Portland Sea Dogs(AA) & our lower minors to,for having such a deep system and that’s the difference my friends in our being on top or near the top prior to the break this year. We’ ll hope more of our regulars will be back for the second half and “just maybe” run away with the A.L. East!!

Here in the Pine Tree State where I live ‘Red Sox Nation” is excited for our team and we’ll ride that Red Sox express to another title and hope you’ll all keep “singing the home team’s praises” right along with us, as we keep mixing baseball and music here in Allagash Country. Don’t forget to check out “Ace Diamond’s” new CD “Playin’ Baseball” (a compilation of hit baseball tunes for your enjoyment) found on CD Baby/Apple I-Tunes, etc. or check out Ace’s website.. http://acediamond.info.. Free stories, givaways and videos!..See what these former pro baseball players are up to these days!) .  Note:  “Larry Gowell” (former major leaguer) has been invited as a celeb for a charitable fund-raiser at Belgrade Lakes Region Golf Club in Maine this August 02/2010! It should be good day of golf for all with an awards dinner to follow in the evening!!  Larry hopes to see some of you there!

“Larry Gowell” is also putting the finishing touches on a Gospel CD album, he’ll be releasing  this summer and “Ace” is putting together a double-length CD from the last few decades of his recordings.. produced in Maine & Texas. Entitled: “Pistol Packin’ Mama”..due out this fall. Watch for both CD’s.. For more details about this baseball music you can log onto: www.acediamond.info

It’s religous. Many different denomonations exists there. I’ve heard from an India colleague that there are more denomiations there than here in the US. Any religious group can use any number of events as part of their routine training and teaching of their religion. Kinda of cool actually.

Dallas: Complete First & Second Seasons (5pc)

Power, wealth, sex, glorious extravagance. One place has them all – Dallas. This 5-disc set includes all 29 of the hugely entertaining show’s First- and Second-Season Episodes, including a cast reunion special. Patrick Duffy, Victoria Principal and more play Texas sons and daughters whose lives revolve around oil, family and power. And Larry Hagman portrays petroleum magnate J.R. Ewing, whose pursuit of, in no particular order, money and clout knows no limits.

DVD Features:
Audio Commentary:Commentary featuring Larry Hagman, Charlene Tilton, and creator David Jacobs
Featurette:Soaptalk Dallas Reunion, SOAPnet special featuring Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, and Charlene Tilton

Dallas: The Complete First and Second Seasons is an American equivalent to those British miniseries about historical chapters in that country’s royal monarchy. Full of family in-fighting, political intrigue crossed with personal triumph or disappointment, and plenty of sensational infidelities and betrayals, Dallas is a captivating story of a wealthy oil family’s power and travails. It is also uniquely fun and daringly absurd, albeit with a straight face; this hugely successful, primetime soap opera began in the late 1970s and ran 14 seasons in all, built on a handful of primary relationships that stretch credulity but never descend into self-parody.

Not unexpectedly, Dallas begins with a Romeo and Juliet tale that instantly exposes an old feud between two families and strips the civilized veneer from several major characters. Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy), youngest of three sons of independent oilman Jock Ewing (Jim Davis), arrives at the Ewing clan’s Southfork ranch just outside Dallas, Texas, with a new wife, Pam Barnes Ewing (Victoria Principal). Pam is the daughter of Digger Barnes (David Wayne), an old business rival of Jock’s and one-time suitor of the Ewing matriarch, Eleanor (or “Miss Ellie,” played by Barbara Bel Geddes). Pam’s also the sister of a state senator, Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval), whose vendetta against the Ewings is played out in the legislature, imposing costly regulations on their business and holding committee investigations into questionable practices of company president J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman). Pam’s status as the newest Ewing causes an uproar in the family (besides being a Barnes, she also dated the Ewings’ genial but lonely foreman, Ray Krebbs, played by Steve Kanaly) and prompts Dallas‘ charming villain, J.R., to make many Iago-like attempts, over the first two seasons, to drive her from Bobby’s arms. Pam has a different set of problems with the other, jealous Ewing women, including J.R.’s possibly barren and alcoholic wife, Sue Ellen (Linda Gray), and teenage Lucy (Charlene Tilton), daughter of exiled Ewing son Gary (Ted Shackleford). With new and old resentments flying and everyone deeply suspicious of everyone else’s motives (even the ailing Jock doesn’t trust J.R.), there’s plenty of drama to chew on. Still, storylines are often larger than the sum of these parts, with lots of kidnappings, marital affairs, plane crashes, and shootings ratcheting up suspense. Dallas is pure pleasure, a little guilty, perhaps, but not a sin. –Tom Keogh

Dallas: The Complete Seasons 1-8

Description
Power, wealth, sex, glorious extravagance. One place has them all. “Dallas” foreshadowed the Greed Decade of the 1980s. It also changed the TV landscape, inspiring a string of sprawling, multi-storyline dramas. Patrick Duffy, Victoria Principal and more star as Texas sons and daughters whose lives revolve around oil, family and power. Larry Hagman portrays a petroleum magnate, J.R. Ewing, whose pursuit of, in no particular order, money and clout knows no limits. During the series’ run, he was the man everyone loved to hate. Who could forget the historic “Who Shot JR” cliffhanger (season 3-4), the death of the Ewing family patriarch Jock (season 5), the multiple attempts on Bobby’s life (season 8), and the continual marraiges, divorces, break-ups and make-ups? You can catch up with all of this and so muc more with this 8 season, 32 DVD-set that is full of the fueding, scheming, dirty dealing, intrigue and emotional firestorms that kept viewers hooked for 13 years.
