Bonnaroo Festival Tickets

Bonnaroo Festival Tickets

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is a production of Superfly Productions and AC Entertainment.  The festival has been held annually since 2002 at Great Stage Park on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee.  Manchester is approximately 60 miles to the southeast of Nashville, Tennessee.  Bonnaroo’s main attractions include multiple stages of live music which feature a mixed bag of musical styles including world music, hip hop, jazz, bluegrass, Americana, Country music, folk, gospel, alternative music, reggae and electronica.  Originally, jam bands were the mainstay at the festival, however, in recent years this has changed to include just about every type of music on the planet!

This Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival also features artisans and craftsmen selling one-of-a-kind treasures, food and drink vendors and fun activities put on by varied corporate sponsors.  The sponsors of the Bonnaroo Festival are required to provide free activities for all attendees.  Recently, the festival organizers have really pushed “being green” and emphasized the importance of recycling to the crowds.

The word “Bonnaroo” is a Cajun slang word meaning “a really good time.”  Popular rythm and blues artist Dr. John made the word popular with his 1974 album, Destively Bonnaroo.  The name is also meant to honor the rich Louisiana music tradition which inspired the festival’s organizers to present an array of spectacular live music for very loyal fans.  This festival brings Coffee County in Tennessee more than million in business revenue and more than million in personal income annually (figures calculated in 2005).

It will be held from June 11-14, 2009  in Manchester, Tennessee.  The Bonnaroo Festival was voted the Best Festival in 2008 by Rolling Stone who called it “the ultimate over-the top summer festival.”  Where else can you camp out on a 700 acre farm in Tennessee and enjoy a unique blend of people, entertainment and cultures?  The headliners that have been announced for the festival are Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band and Phish, who has recently reunited for a spring/summer 2009 tour.  Phish has a following of phans that span the world, they never perform the same concert twice, which adds to their appeal.

Other artists who will be performing at the Bonnaroo Festival are Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, Elvis Costello, Erykah Badu, Snoop Dogg, Al Green, Merle Haggard, David Byrne, Lucinda Williams, Santagold, Jenny Lewis, and the Ting Tings.  Start praying for great weather and come enjoy a concert you’ll long remember.

Chicago (the Musical) Tickets- a Show Full of Razzle Dazzle

Kelly shared an act with her sister but that partnership ended tumultuously when Kelly found her husband and sister sleeping together and killed them both. The married Roxie Hart is a vaudeville wannabe who is dating a man who loves the night life. Her husband almost takes the blame for killing him until he realizes his wife is having an affair.

Both Kelly and Hart are sent to Cook County Jail along with a host of murderous mistresses. They share more than just a correctional facility, however, as Billy Flynn is both girls’ lawyer. Flynn throws himself into Hart’s defense and makes his client famous in the process. Her newfound fame has Kelly fuming, and the two are at odds. Stagecoach Country Music Festival Tickets – Raging Lineup for the Golden State!

With the lineup for California’s biggest country music festival just announced, it looks like its third annual event will be its biggest ever. With headliners that include Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire and Kid Rock making the list of initial performers, Stagecoach Country Music Festival tickets are already going to be hard to come by with more than four months to go!

Performing for the third time at Indio, California’s Empire Polo Club this April, the event will not only house some of the best country music, but also some of the nation’s best Bar-B-Que and more festival events that will get your riled up for some amazing guitar strumming and boot kickin’! Just because Californian’s are surrounded by the beauty of the ocean and the mountains doesn’t mean that they can’t enjoy a little hootenanny – and with the biggest stars set to headline the event this year, the liberals on the west coast are sure to peel off their yearly-worn sandals and throw on some cowboy boots for an event like this. Country fans tired of their friends bragging about little known (to them) bands performed at Coachella, the Stagecoach Country Music Festival is the counterpart to the rock scene and will be every bit as exciting. Check out http://www.stubhub.com/stagecoach-country-music-festival-tickets/ today to get your own tickets.

The lineup for 2009 was listed on Stagecoach’s website, which also includes Miranda Lambert, Earl Scruggs, Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Jeff Walker, Reverend Horton Heat, Little Big Town, Poco, The Charlie Daniels Band, Darius Rucker (from Hootie and the Blowfish), Lynn Anderson, Dale Watson, Chris Cagle, Lady Antebellum, Ralph Stanley, Doyle Lawson, The Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Danielle Peck, The Zac Brown Band, The Duhks, Waddie Mitchell, Randy Houser, Hot Club of Cowtown and James Intveld.

The event is a rodeo of California’s country fans of sorts, complete with a mechanical bull, activities for the kids via the Half-Pint Hootenanny kids area and an expansion for all those RV’s that roll in. The festival, put together by Coachella company Goldenvoice, was expanded last year to three days when the Eagle’s made a last minute performance for a bonus day. The Eagles headlined a day all to themselves after their Grammy win for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group for “How Long” just weeks prior to the event. This year is set to remain at two, but with all the country cancellations that have been occurring as of late, who knows what will happen to the all star lineup as the months pass. Last year the attendance doubled what it was from the year previous (aka its debut year) from 55,000 to 120,000, with headliners that included Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Big & Rich, Dwight Yoakam, George Jones and a reunion of The Judds.

AEG also puts on the event with Goldenvoice, another player in the original Coachella mixture. The music man behind all of AEG’s success, Chuck Morris, recently talked to media outlets about plans for a new festival for 2010. The company, which throws down Coachella followed by Stagecoach just a week apart, could add another “drawing board,” according to the Denver Post, stamp for AEG either the week before or after the Mile High Music Festival with yet another genre bending festival.

Dallas Cowboys Tickets – Team Tiring of TO?

The Dallas Cowboys have recently gained the reputation as the catch-all for all of the league’s lawless misfits, but that could be changing soon. Dallas was the one team that would take changes on the likes of Adam “Pacman” Jones, Tank Johnson and, of course, Terrell Owens. Dallas may be looking to turn over a new leaf, however, since they recently announced the release of Jones. Jones had numerous problems with the law prior to coming to Dallas and later once he arrived. Another player who is no stranger to trouble and suspensions is Owens. After Jones was released, it started speculation that Owens’ future with the Cowboys was also in question. More than talent, locker room peace may be at the top of the Cowboys’ concerns. Fans can be there to see next year’s team with for Dallas Cowboys tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/dallas-cowboys-tickets.

Terrell Owens was drafted in the third round of the 1996 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers as the 98th overall pick. That first year, there was little indication of the drama that was to come, but lots of displays of Owens top talent. He started 10 out of 16 games and had 35 receptions for 520 yards and four touchdowns. The next season, he started all but one game and had 60 receptions, 936 yards and eight touchdowns. He was proving he was one of the league’s top receivers by 1998 with 10 starts, 67 receptions, 1,097 yards and 14 touchdowns. The 1999 season was similar, but Owens was starting to show his trademark attitude with his touchdown celebrations. 2000 marked Owens’ first Pro Bowl invite as he had 97 receptions, 1,451 yards and 13 touchdowns. He made the Pro Bowl again in 2001 and 2002. The Niners didn’t have quite as great of a season in 2003, and the tensions with Owens were starting to come to a head, including Owens speaking out against quarterback Jeff Garcia.

The Niners had enough of Owens, as did he with the Niners, and Owens signed a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. His first year with the Eagles, he started in 4 games and had 77 receptions, 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns. An injury took him out of part of the season, but Owens continued to produce. In 2005, he played in seven games and had 47 receptions, 763 yards and six touchdowns. It was not his on-field antics that had people talking, however, Owens was displeased with his contract with the Eagles, and also spoke out against the performance of Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. The Eagles chose to suspend him during the season, and Owens signed with the Cowboys in the offseason.

Owens did well right away for the Cowboys. In 2006, he started all but one game for 81 receptions, 1,180 yards and 13 touchdowns. The 2007 season was even better for Owens as he had 81 receptions for 1,355 yards and 15 touchdowns. His cracks were starting to show, however, as Owens was frequently in the news for comments he made. 2008 was no different. He had 69 receptions, 1052 yards and 10 touchdowns, but the real story was his comments about quarterback Tony Romo. The drama has led to a discussion by the coaches and owner Jerry Jones, but few are surprised that Owens picked a fight with his quarterback, considering his past.

Hank Williams, Jr. Tickets – Officially a Country Music Icon

All his rowdy friends may have settled down, but Hank Williams, Jr. is still kicking up dust in Nashville’s country music scene. This weekend Williams was in attendance at the Broadcast Music Inc.’s 56th Annual BMI Awards, where he won the high distinction of BMI Icon. Joining the ranks of his rebel-rousing pals Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, Hank Jr. won the crown of BMI Icon, highlighting his astonishing career as an Emmy and Grammy Award-winning, six-time platinum winning, 20-time gold winning redneck wonder. The BMI Awards capitalized upon Williams’ honky-tonk classics, as the country singer’s repertoire is filled to the brim with hit songs like “All My Rowdy Friends,” “Family Tradition,” “A Country Boy Can Survive,” “Dixie on My Mind,” “Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound” and more, all of which Williams wrote himself.

While ol’ Bocephus (as Hank’s father nicknamed him) was sitting pretty at this year’s BMI Awards, he was in good company with the fresh new face of country music herself: southern princess Taylor Swift. Swift showed the stark contrast in country music from when Hank Jr. started rising in the country music industry, but the sultry seductress took home the coveted BMI Country Songwriter of the Year crown, propelled by her hit single “Teardrops on My Guitar,” which earned the Robert J. Burton Song of the Year award. The other big winner of the night was Casey Beathard, who won Songwriter of the Year at the BMI Awards for his contributions to Rodney Atkins’ “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy),” Kenny Chesney’s “Don’t Blink,” George Strait’s “How ‘Bout Them Cowgirls,” Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus’ “Ready, Set, Don’t Go” and Tracy Lawrence’s “Find Out Who Your Friends Are” (featuring Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.)

While this year’s BMI Awards showcased Nashville’s new talents more than anything (Sugarland, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, to name a few,) Hank Williams, Jr.’s dominance at the awards show also demonstrates the country legend’s big-time status in the country music industry. Hank Jr. grew up in the shadow of his father, country music’s Hank Williams, but the younger Hank carved his own career separate from his father’s, ultimately taking the path of a roguish Southern country-rock act instead of just a honky tonk performer. Hank Jr. went to work in the late ’60s and ’70s garnering a fan base full of rowdy Southern rockers and country outlaws, taking his rebellious nature and independence from his father to the extreme with 1979’s “Family Tradition,” a Top Five Country Single that states, “Country music singers have always been a real close family/But lately some of my kin folks have disowned a few others and me/I guess it’s because I kinda changed my direction/I guess I went and broke the family tradition.”

Since the 1970s, Bocephus has palled around with other legendary traditional country music acts like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, David Allan Coe and Charlie Daniels, making his name one of the most popular and most controversial in Nashville. Through all the hell-raising bar anthems and beer-sloshing sing-along songs, Hank Williams, Jr. continues to stand atop the ever-changing country music industry, slowing down his rampant releases of albums but continuing to tour the nation with several Southern-fried live performances. If you haven’t seen Bocephus in concert yet, the time’s right to get Hank Williams, Jr. tickets, always available from http://www.stubhub.com/hank-williams-jr-tickets/.
